There is a core group of Eucharistic ministers who are also pastoral care ministers who bring communion to those who are homebound or who are in nursing homes. We currently provide a prayer service to the following nursing homes:
78 Scott Dyer Rd. in Cape Elizabeth (207) 799-7332
We provide a weekly prayer service on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am alternating between a liturgy of the word with communion and the rosary with communion.
15 Piper Rd. in Scarborough (207) 883-8700
We provide a rosary prayer service on every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 am.
Cape Memory Care
126 Scott Dyer Rd. in Cape Elizabeth (207) 553-9616
We provide a devotional prayer service on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am.
We lead the prayer services in pairs and we are always looking for new people to help us in this ministry. If you are already an Eucharistic minister, your training is very minimal and you would spend some time observing before leading a prayer service. If you are not already an Eucharistic minister, then you will need to go through the background check and training for Eucharistic ministers first. Please contact Kathy Williamson if you would like to join us in this ministry or if you would like to receive communion because you are homebound.
