During the month of February in this Year of Mercy, we are
highlighting two Works of Mercy:
Clothe the Naked
Bishop Deeley met with children/youth from the area faith formation programs at Threads of Hope on St. John’s Street in Portland on Saturday, Feb. 6th for a prayer and blessing service on the efforts of these children/youth in collecting clothes for those who need them. Thank you to all who donated diapers, socks, pajamas, and underwear in our most recent clothing drive for this wonderful event. Pictures of the event will be available soon. Kelsey Conroy, Belinda Ledue, Kathy Williamson and some families and teens from St. Maximilian Kolbe church represented our cluster of parishes and met with Bishop Deeley.
There are Threads of Hope collection boxes in each parish. Please take some time to do some early Spring cleaning and donate some gently used clothing. We are also in need of someone with a truck or van who is willing to bring the donations from our parish Threads of Hope boxes to their store on St. John’s Street in Portland. If you are available to help us with this great ministry, please contact your parish office. Thank you!
